SnapWrap ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Photo Library Access (On-Device Only)

SnapWrap accesses your photo library to analyze images and generate your personalized Wrap. All photo analysis happens entirely on your device using built-in artificial intelligence. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.

We read the following metadata from your photos:

• Date and time the photo was taken
• GPS location data (if available)
• Technical metadata (camera settings, orientation)

This metadata is processed locally and stored only on your device.

1.2 Analytics Data

We use an anonymous analytics service hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) to collect anonymous usage data, including:

• App screens viewed and navigation patterns
• Feature usage (analysis started, wrap viewed, share actions)
• App performance metrics (analysis duration, error rates)
• Device type, OS version, and app version
• Session recordings (screen interactions, without personal content)

Analytics data does not include your photos, photo content, or personally identifiable information.

1.3 Remote Configuration

We use a remote configuration service to manage feature flags and app settings. This collects:

• Anonymous installation ID
• Basic device information

1.4 Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable cloud backup:

• iOS: Wrap results are stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
• Android: Wrap results are stored in your personal Google Drive account in a dedicated app folder. We do not have access to your Google Drive data.

Cloud sync stores only your Wrap analysis results (categories, statistics, insights) — never your actual photos.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not upload or transmit your photos
• We do not require an account or registration
• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties
• We do not use advertising or ad tracking

3. How We Use Your Data

• Photo analysis: To generate your personalized annual Wrap with categories, statistics, and insights
• Analytics: To understand how the app is used, improve features, and fix bugs
• Remote configuration: To manage app features and deliver updates

4. Data Storage and Security

• All photo analysis data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage
• Sensitive data is protected using your device's built-in secure storage
• The app includes runtime security checks (integrity verification, tampering protection)
• Analytics data is stored on EU servers (Frankfurt, Germany), compliant with GDPR

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what data we process
• Deletion: Delete all local data by uninstalling the app, or delete cloud data from your iCloud/Google Drive settings
• Opt-out: Disable analytics from within the app settings
• Portability: Your data is stored locally on your device and in your personal cloud accounts
• Revoke permissions: Revoke photo library access at any time from your device settings

6. Data Retention

• Local data: Stored until you uninstall the app or manually delete wraps
• Analytics data: Retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted
• Cloud sync data: Stored in your personal cloud account until you delete it

7. Children's Privacy

SnapWrap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Third-Party Services

The app relies on the following external services:

• On-device AI — Image recognition and classification. All processing happens locally on your device.
• Anonymous analytics (EU) — Usage statistics and session replay, hosted in the European Union.
• Remote configuration — Feature management and app updates.
• Apple iCloud / Google Drive — Optional cloud sync, governed by Apple/Google privacy policies

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
